VERSACRYL Gasket Clasp
The denture
is constructed with conventional pink denture acrylic, except in the area
around the chosen abutment tooth, where a ring of VERSACRYL is incorporated.
Depending on the amount of undercut present, this ring should measure
at least 3 mm wide and needs to be layered from a very soft to a harder
rigidity of VERSACRYL.
To insert
the partial denture, the patient runs hot tap water on the the gasket
clasp for 20 seconds and then without delay, places the denture in the
mouth and uses finger pressure to push the denture into place. Never use
opposing teeth to bite the denture in place. The partial denture is now
lodged around the abutment tooth. To remove, the patient rinses warm water
around the clasp area in the mouth, and then immediately removes the denture.
