The VERSACRYL Thermo Grip system is a simple, direct, and a very effective
way to retain overdentures. It does not matter whether the male attachment
is part of an implant, a root cap, a Dolder bar, Bona or Roach balls.
When
the overdenture is constructed, it will have empty mushroom-shaped cavities,
where the male attachments protrude into the denture. Without having
to use bulky metal female fittings, the VERSACRYL material will fashion
the female retentive grip over any male attachment.
The
procedure is accomplished chairside, directly intra-orally and therefore
will always render the perfect fit. No need for impressions, stints
or cumbersome methods to transfer positioning information to the laboratory.
Moreover,
the patient will have an extra level of security over conventional and
usually expensive precision assemblies: the overdenture will not loosen
with tongue pressure, coughing or sneezing, only on command, when the
patient rinses with warm water and activates the VERSACRYL Thermo Grips,
shall the denture be released.
