Instructions to Construct a Repeatable VERSACRYL Reline

A
thermo-adjustable VERSACRYL Reline incorporated into a lower denture
Each
VERSACRYL Laboratory kit contains:
- VERSACRYL
Softener monomer
- VERSACRYL
Hardener monomer
- VERSACRYL
clear and pink polymer powders
The recommended
proportion for a reline is: 80% Softener to 20% Hardener. Mix Softener
and Hardener and stir for 10 seconds. If a translucent pink is desired,
add a drop of red ortho color.
Alternatively,
you can use the specially formulated: Versacryl Reline Kit contains:
- VERSACRYL
Pre-mixed Reline monomer liquid (83% Softener / 17% Hardener)
- VERSACRYL
pink veined polymer powder only
- Determine
whether the reline may be considered small, medium or large. Using the
measuring cups, dispense:
Small: 5ml liquid - Medium: 7ml liquid - Large: 10-12ml liquid.
- Slowly
add the VERSACRYL powder while stirring, until the consistency is light
creamy (approx. 2 parts powder to 1 part liquid).
- Two methods
to construct a VERSACRYL reline:
- Double-pack
heat-cure into a new denture: flask, remove wax and pack denture
with pink acrylic and with a spacer to create enough room for the VERSACRYL
reline material. Trial press using a polyvinyl sheet and re-open flask.
Remove the spacer and repack the void with the VERSACRYL mixture. Close
flask, final press and process as usual.
- Self-cure
onto an existing denture in a jig:
cut back and prepare the surfaces by roughening and priming with Hardener
using a brush. Quickly apply the creamy VERSACRYL mixture to all contact
areas, then add and press the bulk into the jig. Process as usual in
a pressure cooker and finish.
