Apple Dental
Ventures Inc. has a consistent history going back for more than 25 years.
The
story started already in 1978, when Bob Huybrechts became a Registered
Dental Technician and started his own dental laboratory in Scarborough
(a suburb of Toronto, Ontario), called Apple Dental Laboratory.
Ten years
later, from working every day with many different dental products, that
all seemed to have serious technical or clinical limitations, a new idea
spawned.
After several years of trial and error and researching different approaches,
Bob had developed the basic material. Patents were applied for and the
first U.S. Patent was issued in 1996. Canadian and European Patents were
to follow.
The company
changed name from Lab to Ventures as the dental lab was slowly dismantled
and focus shifted to bringing the product, now called VERSACRYL, to market.
Finally,
in 1999 the company was incorporated and, after meeting all regulatory
requirements, was given the green light. Apple Dental Ventures Inc. is
currently overlooking the sales of VERSACRYL Products worldwide.
